Shreveport, Louisiana (September 7, 2022) – Southern Trace Country Club in Shreveport, Louisiana recently completed a two-year, $4.2 million golf course renovation and enhancement project. The project focused on irrigation and drainage system upgrades, green complex enhancements and the addition of a new short game practice area. Golf course designer and Southern Trace member Jim Lipe oversaw the course renovation with Wadsworth Construction, Black Creek Construction and Winterberry Construction performing the work.

Southern Trace Country Club is a private club offering its Members, families and guests the finest golf, recreational, social and business entertaining lifestyles. With the Club centered on the Arthur Hills signature golf course, Members will enjoy camaraderie, impeccable service and pride in belonging.
In 2020, the membership bought the club from a previous management company. Thus Southern Trace became an Equity, Member-Owned club. We brought Troon onboard to utilize the resources and reciprocal benefits they offer across the world.

MARCH 23, 2023 | SHREVEPORT, LA – The team of Chad Moscovic, PGA director of golf park programming at the Northern Texas PGA, and Michael Martin, PGA director of instruction at Leonard Links, win the Talley Riggins Construction Group | Boxto Pro-Pro Championship hosted at Southern Trace Country Club.
The duo fired a final round score of 5-under-par, 67, to finish the championship at 9-under-par overall. They birdied the last hole to force a two-hole, sudden-death playoff. They squared off against Nic Ishee, PGA assistant professional at Preston Trail Golf Club, and Gabe Reynolds, PGA director of instruction at Topgolf Dallas.
